“THE REAL VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY CONSISTS NOT IN SEEKING NEW LANDSCAPES, BUT IN HAVING NEW EYES.” MARCEL PROUST
The Gaudium school believes in learning beyond classrooms. In this regard, an educational tour filled with adventure and learning has been organized. Geckos stayed at a safe campsite located on the banks of river Alaknanda. They started their days with a yoga session amidst nature’s beauty. Adventurous activities such a mountain rappelling, valley crossing, kayaking and bridge slithering were organized to improve their life skills and survival skills. Geckos were brave enough to do all the activities without any hesitation. They have utilized every moment of their journey in gaining more knowledge about the biodiversity of that place. Senior Geckos showed their leadership skills by taking responsibility for their group and guiding the team members during their activities. They understood the importance of resources and optimal utility. By staying in tents, geckos gained Self management skills. They ended with the creation of a great bond between each other.
