For the well-being of all in society, the importance of cleanliness has been stressed time and again. We live by the motto, “cleanliness is next to godliness”. The Swacchata Oath was a way to inspire the geckos to become cleanliness ambassadors in their lives.
Swacchata Shapath function was organised on the first day of the Swachha Bharat celebrations wherein all the geckos from grade 1 to 10 took an oath promising to take up one activity for their personal space or school or community cleanliness. They were made aware that their proactive participation in the project would lead to a clean and green future for the nation.
