For the unit of inquiry of ‘Time,’ the Grade 2 Geckos were assessed in the most unique way. Something that they will definitely carry with them for the days to come. The students were welcome in the afternoon to a classroom that had been transformed into an Airport. The students were the passengers – the globetrotters ready to travel to different countries. Their mode of travel was the amazing Grade 2 Airways which took them to their respective destinations. In between the flights, the geckos were given the challenge to calculate the time of arrival at the destination country. This required them to challenge their understanding of time zones and combine that with arithmetic skills. The geckos were excited about this journey and aced their assessments with a smile on their face and the world beneath their feet!
