Reflection – Seasons

As the poi topic being seasons we have organised a assembly presentation on “SEASONS”.

Taking into accounts variations in the elements of climate, i.e. changes in air temperature, amount of rainfall, changes of air current etc. the climate can be classified into different seasons, such as summer, rainy, autumn and winter.Seasons are as old as the planet earth. Seasons are created by two very important events, the rotation of the earth gives us day and night, and the rotation of the earth around the sun that gives us our year. Seasons are also important for plants and animals, which need the seasonal changes to grow and to develop.They make our lives interesting and help nature to stay in balance too.

STUDENT ACTION: Each and every gecko of PP1 have participated in this assembly presentation on “SEASONS”. The geckos demonstrated the attitude of cooperation and coordination made the show a successful one. The geckos have presented the four different seasons by singing rhymes and dance. The children confidently spoke on each season and introduced their friends performance. The geckos have acquired knowledge on different seasons and the reasons for them to occur.

LEARNING OUTCOME: The geckos are able to differentiate and identify the different seasons and the reason why they occur. The geckos got a clear understanding of earth’s rotation and revolution around the sun and its distance from sun resulting in different seasons. The children performed with confidence and enjoyed it too. The geckos spoke on every different season and the kind of attire and food we prefer. The geckos looked very colourful during the performance and participated with enthusiasm and zeal.
