The first session of non-fire cooking under the life skills programme was conducted on Tuesday, 18th July 2022. Students of Grades Nursery to 2 made lemonade with an emphasis on the importance of safety in the kitchen. It helped develop practical skills and provided a platform to explore their curiosity and problem-solving abilities. They carefully squeezed fresh lemons, measured sugar, salt, and water, and mixed the ingredients in a large container. The result was a delicious and perfectly balanced lemonade that delighted their taste buds. As the students savoured the lemonade, they celebrated not only their achievements but also the knowledge and experiences gained from this extraordinary life skills session. Our students are now equipped with a diverse skill set that will undoubtedly serve them well in their future endeavours.

About the Author: The Gaudium
Can education move from merely imparting knowledge to showing how to apply that knowledge? Can we as parents move from mindless test-scores to a more meaningful method of evaluation? Can a child be taught to recognise and create value in everything he does? These were some questions that inspired The Gaudium. Gaudium means ‘Joy’ in Latin. At The Gaudium, we will help each child find joy through the core values of Integrity, Perseverance, Compassion, Appreciation, Humility, Respect and Tolerance.
