It is once again the Board examination season; the time when our examinees are trying their best to Firewall all distractions and concentrate on studying for the exams. All they need to realise is that, while studying hard for the exams, they are actually building their character and weaving meaning into their lives. John Gardner had a way with words and this is what he had to say – “Meaning is not something you stumble across, like the answer to a riddle or the prize in a treasure hunt. Meaning is something you build into your life. You build it out of your own past, out of the experience of humankind as it is passed on to you, out of your own talent and understanding, out of the things you believe in. The ingredients are there. You are the only one who can put them together into that unique pattern that will be your life. Let it be a life that has dignity and meaning for you. If it does, then the particular balance of success or failure is of less account.”  These exams, therefore, are not a measure of success or failure, they are meant to locate the real possibilities and energies latent within them.

Our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been repeatedly harping on the aforesaid ideas. His unique interactive session with students, teachers and parents ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, always in popular demand, this year was streamed live on April 1, 2022.   Approximately 1000 selected students from class IX upwards grabbed the coveted opportunity to interact with our honourable Prime Minister directly. In this 5th edition of this unique interactive session the Prime Minister urged the students to analyse the time they invest in effective learning. In his words ‘Your target should be maximum outcome. Working for 18 hours doesn’t necessarily mean it will provide the best results.’ Amidst the several wise takeaways, what stood out was the extraordinary zeal among our students; they relished the experience and were inspired to approach the examination season with a constructive mindset.
