If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down

There are no limits to what we can accomplish, except the limits we put on our own minds.

In an attempt to break those self-imposed barriers, in our series of ‘Talking Titans’, we introduce youngsters and veterans who will inspire our geckos to rise up to action with their success stories. While our classrooms are a hub of exploring, analyzing, and imbibing all that surrounds the young and eager minds, the guest talks will add a perspective to their aspirations.  In the course of the virtual guest talks, we had our esteemed guest Mr. Krishna Prem Kumar, who at a very young age became an Ornithologist.

Krishna Prem Kumar was inspired by his parents, who are nature lovers. He was accompanied by his parents whenever they went into wildlife for birdwatching. Krishna is into Hyderabad Birding Pals group. He is the youngest in the group and has been interviewed by many magazines.

His areas of interest include photography, wood carving and pottery. His tale of achievement took our geckos of Grades 6-8, through an inspiring journey of rising above distractions, honing skills, nurturing consistency, and conquering over electronic gadgets and getting close to nature.

On September 9th, 2020, the session started at 9 a.m. with an introduction by Ms. Sunitha Indukuri, Cambridge International Coordinator. Mr. Krishna introduced himself and narrated how his journey of bird watching started. Using a PowerPoint presentation, he provided information about the total number of bird species in the world, why birds are so important, precautions while birdwatching and his photography on different birds. Time flew as the geckos interacted enthusiastically with our guest.  The session came to an end, as the Principal, Ms. Shalini Singh Hamilton, addressed the gathering and with the vote of thanks by Ms. Sheeja Samy.

It was indeed a splendid session!!!
