Integrating with our UOI topic-Earth Resources, we invited Mr. Gopinath from G. Narayanamma Institute of Techonology and Science. Through a power point presentation, he emphasised on the importance of ‘Mother Earth’.Different types of resources were explained and geckos participated very confidently in the discussion. He encouraged them to conserve the natural resources and spread awarness to others as well. They enjoyed the session thorougthly as he mentioned carbon dioxide as selfish fellow and how can they refuse plastic bags politely. They understood three R’s as reduce, reuse and recycle. It surely sparked inquiry in the young minds to expore more about earth resources. The session was concluded by the Quote given by Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change that you want to see in the world”. Also, they sang an ‘Earth Anthem’which they mentioned as the best part of the session. They wrote their reflection mentioning what they learnt, best part of the session and profile and attitude they developed.
