Children are our future personified and a true manifestation of the divine in their innocence and unfading enthusiasm. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India loved children so much that he wanted his birth anniversary to be celebrated as national Children’s Day. While Gaudium’s vision has always been focused on happiness, this Children’s Day saw an extra step in the journey with and towards joy. As part of Children’s Day celebrations, the facilitators presented a show which was an amalgamation of music, dance, theatre and comedy. The programme was introduced by our principal, Mr. Prabhakar Reddy who spoke about the importance of celebrating the day and other aspects such as child rights and how the future of the nation entirely lies in the children’s hands. The audience comprised of geckos from the PYP section as well as the middle school and senior secondary level. The children thoroughly enjoyed the show and applauded as they saw their beloved teachers on stage.
