The High School at The Gaudium is for students from ages 16-18 (Grade 11 & 12) where students have an option to choose from a National (CBSE) and an International curriculum (IB DP). We provide our students with a stimulating environment and enriched curriculum to promote curiosity, free-thinking, discussing, debating, and executing ideas with respect for diversity. Our pedagogy aims at providing comprehensive and credible feedback and learning opportunities not only on academics and scholastic development but, also encompasses qualitative judgment of attitudes, interests, and ability to work independently. Students’ progress into a seamless transition from interdisciplinary to multidisciplinary learning. This linear movement is evident and assessed through various activities like individual and subject-specific projects, lab work, exhibitions, and research work.

Wide and Balanced academic choices

The Gaudium follows a balanced approach, offering students access to a broad range of content that spans academic subjects for fostering competencies in students, in seven major learning areas, namely Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Sciences, Commerce, Computer sciences, and Skill-based electives.

We offer the following choices of curriculum

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) – The Gaudium offers 21 academic and skill-based subjects from varied streams (Science, Commerce and Humanities) giving students the freedom to choose any combination of subjects.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) – The Diploma Programme offers 6 subject groups comprising Science, Commerce and Humanities streams along with the core elements of TOK, CAS and EE.

Cambridge International AS & A Levels-  Cambridge International AS & A Levels are globally recognized advanced qualifications for students aged 16–19. These programs offer a wide range of subjects, allowing students to focus on their areas of interest and build a strong foundation for higher education and future careers.

Some of the salient features of the High School:

This approach is showcased through model displays in Academic Fair, planning and execution of Community Service projects in CBSE. In IBDP, it is practiced by solution focused thinking, divergent and convergent thinking, empathising and ideation.

ATL and subject specific skills are learnt and displayed through Art integrated and General studies projects with the use of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, lab activities etc in CBSE, through TOK Exhibition, Micro blogging, podcast and digital stories, Reflective essays, Theatre presentations, Subject specific projects etc in IB DP.

At The Gaudium, we integrate life-skills through CAS activities for the students of Diploma Programme and are incorporated through Work Experience subject in CBSE.

At The Gaudium, Service as Action is evident through CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) in IB DP and Community service projects in CBSE.

At The Gaudium, students set their academic and career goals at the very outset of the academic session. Regular interactions and workshops with our experienced faculty, career counsellor and experts from different domains mentor our students to self-regulate and pave the way to achieve their targeted goal.

We incorporate our tailor-made teaching approaches to match our students’ learning styles. Mock interviews, think-pair-share activities, journaling, reflective reading, video presentations, lab activities etc. are some of the example activities which provide a platform for every student to express themselves and deepen their knowledge.

At The Gaudium, individual and group counselling sessions conducted by our qualified school counsellors, pastoral care sessions, student-centric workshops, well designed mindfulness curriculum help students maintain a balance with their inner self and make them aware of their outer world.

A unique concept of learning space at The Gaudium, the Study Lounge creates a favourable and helpful learning environment for the learners, that fosters productivity and maximizes focus on the subjects. Teachers have one-on-one sessions with the students of the board going batches providing them customized mentoring, instructions, guidance and feedback thereby supporting the student to optimise their learning potential.

Assessments are a crucial part of the Higher Secondary School academics. The teachers include a variety of testing methods to have a reliable and pragmatic assessment of the students. Assessments provide a platform to evaluate the learning journey of each student and modulate new goals. These assessments prepare them well to write and excel in their external board exams.

At The Gaudium, we have state-of-the-art labs with the latest technology for subjects with practical components offered at High School. These labs are well-equipped with the latest instruments, materials, and carefully designed layout keeping in mind all the safety measures with independent workstations for students. The laboratory activities are designed and conducted to engage students individually as well as through group demonstrations that facilitate critical and constructive learning.

Our dedicated and experienced Career Counsellor offers experiential guidance for college applications through group and individual sessions and provides opportunities for visiting university fairs, organising career webinars and arranging interactive workshops with renowned industry professionals.

The Gaudium provides opportunities for the high school students to take lead and conduct special assemblies and school events. They are also encouraged to participate in the school elections and get inducted in the student council body thereby developing leadership qualities.

An initiative to untap the students’ capabilities as well as to direct them to a more enlightened path, the series exposes the students to varied career paths and aspirations. The Guest speakers serve as great role models, and the high school students imagine themselves in such positions in the not-so-distant future. There’s also the chance that one of the speakers might pique their interest in a particular industry or company.
