The high school students at The Gaudium presented a beautiful and gorgeous Teachers’ Day virtual programme on the afternoon of Friday, 4th of September 2020. It would definitely be a day to remember for all as the geckos took their teachers through a myriad of wonderful cultural performances.
The theme of the event was ‘Transcending Miles…Transforming Lives’ which stands absolutely true for our beloved teachers who have risen to the occasion successfully during this time of Covid-19 pandemic. To celebrate the saga of passion, poise, and perseverance, everyone was dressed beautifully in vivacious red. The geckos danced, they sang, they recited lovely lines as they deeply thanked their mentors for taking them through this wonderful journey of being a student. Working tirelessly all through the pandemic, managing their classes perfectly during these trying times, and coming up with ingenious solutions to whatever problems this new virtual mode of teaching has posed at them; the teachers are truly the heroes that we should applaud and be grateful for. The entire team at The Gaudium along with students, parents, and all the stakeholders witnessed this beautiful celebration presented live on social media. It was amazingly executed without any glitches. Teachers were awarded certificates for their relentless efforts and were congratulated for their wondrous performances. The Gaudium’s first batch of Grade 10 students this year graduated with flying colours making everyone proud as their achievements were applauded, while appreciating and felicitating the remarkable outperforming teachers who mentored them to succeed, on this apt occasion. The Principals displayed their amazing oratory skills on the occasion and motivated all to persevere hard and never give up. The highlight of the program was when our esteemed Gaudium Sportopia mentor, Padma Bhushan awardee, the pride of India – Mr. Pullela Gopichand addressed the gathering. It was truly a moment of surprise to have him on this special occasion. He spoke about his own teachers and mentors who are directly related to his success in life and how deep the motivation has affected him to reach for the stars. We truly salute his spirit and are so grateful for him to inspire us on such an august occasion.
The event had the participation of the high school geckos from all the three curricula viz, CBSE, Cambridge International, and IB. The gala event was wrapped up with a vote of thanks presented by three graceful geckos.
