The Gaudium School celebrated their 4th Annual Day on 11th January 2019 at school campus.
Annual day embraced the theme, “Elixir of Life” – the performance on stage unveiled the theme and conveyed the message that human values act as elixir of our life and narration of stories are effective tool to imbibe human values in children. There are different ways of learning, beyond school and beyond books. Our Geckos enthralled the audience by exhibiting their talent through their performances. Geckos enacted in the collection of stories in the form of song, dance and drama which conveyed the importance of human values.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp and invoking the blessings of Lord Almighty. The soulful prayer song presented by the students, created an ambience of serenity and enthralled the audience.
The Chief Guest for the function Dr. W R Reddy, IAS, Director General National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (NIRD & PR), Hyderabad applauded the performances and congratulated the staff and the students for their efforts in presenting a programme par excellence. The occasion was also graced by the other guest of honours, dignitaries, press, parents and students. The founder and director of the school Ms Kirthi Reddy in her address, inspired and motivated the students by sharing her vision for the progress of the school. She also assured the parents that she will leave no stone unturned to get the school to the greater heights in the future also. The annual report of the school was shared in the form of an audio-visual presentation, highlighting academic and co-curricular activities, the school’s achievements and futuristic goals.
The musical drama performed by the students of Primary Years and Middle School students, was adapted from ‘Hans Christian Andersen’ movie. Importance of human values is conveyed through an inspiring series of fictional stories, spun by a simple cobbler named Hans Christian Andersen. In the story it also remind knowledge isn’t just found in books and education is not simply what students learn in school, but how they grow as an individual, is what truly matters.
This annual day will always be special one for the Gaudium family as on this day the school song was formally launched. The high spirited school song sung by the school band as the grand finale song led to elation amongst students and audience.
The programme was concluded with vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem. This narrative enacted by the students showcased and conveyed the message which is inspired from school’s (The Gaudium) vision that is to nurture a child’s innate happiness through education that creates value, and mission to sculpt happy minds.
