Our geckos are learning about 5Rs. They are learning to think of different ways to reuse and repurpose resources. A Puppet show ‘The hare and the tortoise’ story was presented by the facilitators using the puppets made out of old sock (rabbit) and egg carton (tortoise). The aim was to convey the message on reusing the materials through a moral story.
The hare is very confident of winning, so it stops during the race and falls asleep. The tortoise continues to move very slowly but without stopping and finally it wins the race. The moral lesson of the story is that you can be more successful by doing things slowly and steadily than by acting quickly and carelessly. Slow but steady wins the race. Consistent, effective effort leads to success.
Geckos enjoyed watching the show while learning on being creative to make use of things or resources productively.
